A Moment of Vulnerability

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.”
As silly as it may seem, every year I recognize February 5th. 2/05/12… like this year, was the day of the Super Bowl! My girl had just gotten an iPhone and was finally a blue bubble and was so excited to text me (this generation is hilarious). Was it a coincidence that neither of us were at a Super Bowl party but rather watching the Puppy Bowl, and after High School Musical? Or were the stars just aligned for the perfect opportunity to connect and share our love for Zac Efron. It opened a window to a new world of friendship. A deeper definition of the word ensued. Since, we have created an unbreakable bond and have encountered more adventures together than we can count. Friendship has a vital roll in our lives and I encourage you to connect with people. There’s importance in finding friends who encourage you, support you, and always lift you up. I have found more value by removing the toxic people in my life and surrounding myself with positive people. Finding my forever friend taught me so much about myself. It helped me learn what love looked like. That someone was actually capable of being my friend and instead of using my brokenness as my weak spot, they could help me through a healing season. Miss Allie Grace helped me find my passion for people. If you don’t have a person in your life that accepts you and helps you grow as a person, I encourage you to evaluate your heart. If there are walls up surrounding it causing bitterness, a bold vulnerability allows you to connect with a person on a new level… and let me be the first to tell you that the one moment of vulnerability is completely worth it.
